St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast – “St Anne’s Buoys”
This is the fourth of 8 pieces of artwork for Ten Square Hotel, Belfast, as well as Chimney Corner Hotel, Templepatrick. The title of this artwork comes from three maritime buoys which lie to the front of St Anne,s Cathedral. They are here since the 1980’s and are thought to be fifty years old. Anyone who visits St Anne’s will see them pride of place in the cathedral gardens. They are like newly adopted members to the St-Anne’s Quarter family. It’s for this reason that I have called this artwork, “St Anne’s Buoys”.
